Not Sure Whether Mold Has Spread?

Visible mold may represent only part of the affected area. Moisture and growth can extend behind walls, underneath flooring, above ceilings, or into connected materials. We inspect the visible concern and surrounding conditions to determine whether containment, removal, cleaning, drying, or repairs are needed.

Signs Professional Mold Remediation May Be Needed

Mold Returns After Cleaning

Recurring growth may mean moisture or contamination remains inside the material or in a connected area.

A Musty Odor Has No Obvious Source

Persistent odors inside closets, cabinets, bathrooms, or other enclosed spaces may point to concealed mold growth.

Stains Are Spreading Across Materials

Discoloration that expands across drywall, ceilings, flooring, or wood may require more than surface treatment.

Materials Remained Wet After a Leak

Drywall, insulation, carpet, cabinets, and framing that stayed damp may develop mold even after the visible water disappears.

Mold Appears in Several Areas

Growth in multiple rooms or along connected surfaces may indicate a broader moisture and contamination problem.

How We Move From Inspection to Remediation

From your first call, we organize the work around the visible growth, affected materials, and source of moisture. Each stage helps control the work area, remove contamination, and prepare the property for drying and repairs.

We Review What You Have Noticed

We ask where the mold appeared, whether there is a musty odor, if the area was previously wet, and whether the concern is spreading or returning.

We Inspect the Affected Materials

Our team evaluates the visible growth and checks nearby walls, flooring, cabinets, ceilings, and other materials that may also be affected.

We Establish the Remediation Plan

We identify what requires containment, filtration, cleaning, removal, drying, or repair and explain the recommended work.

We Complete the Approved Remediation

Containment is installed, air filtration is established, affected materials are addressed, and remaining surfaces are cleaned according to the approved scope.

We Dry the Area and Plan Repairs

We address remaining moisture, review the remediated space, and coordinate approved repairs for drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinets, or finishes that were removed.

Careful Mold Remediation With Clear Next Steps

Mold can leave you uncertain about how far it has spread, what must be removed, and whether repairs will be necessary. We explain what we find, organize the work in the proper order, and help you move from containment through cleanup, drying, and restoration.

Sam and Ali were absolutely fantastic to work with. From the very beginning, they were professional, thorough, and incredibly communicative. They came out multiple times to assess the situation and provided a detailed, transparent quote that clearly outlined the scope of work—no hidden fees, no surprises. What really stood out was their honesty and the time they took to explain everything. The level of detail they provided gave us full confidence in their knowledge and capabilities. They were easy to talk to, responsive, and clearly dedicated to helping their clients understand every step of the process. If you're looking for a company that is reliable, transparent, and truly knows their stuff choose A/S general contracting. I 10/10 recommend them.

Two years after the “shoddy” work they performed we are having to completely replace the flooring. They shot pin nails into laminate flooring but that isn’t the worst part. The patchwork they used to lay a sub floor was crap. They know what they did. They all like to agree and blame the homeowner for whatever goes wrong. One tone even suggesting they because we live in a “trailer house,” the floor would never be perfect. Well now we see clearly what kind of a pieced together project they did, we now have someone who is fixing this fiasco! Don’t use them

We had a major water leak that required us to file a claim through our insurance company, and our plumber referred us to A/S General. From the very beginning, Greg and Sam were incredibly helpful, guiding us through the entire process and helping expedite everything with our insurance company. Greg, Sam, and their entire team were professional, thorough, and communicative every step of the way. The construction crew consistently showed up on time, worked efficiently, and always left the work area clean at the end of each day. Thanks to their attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, our home is now in even better condition than before the water leak. We highly recommend A/S General to anyone in need of home restoration or construction services. Thank you to the entire team for taking such great care of our home!

Requested to do the job asap. Told Sam Abraham we have house guests coming in at the middle of the week. He sent a crew to see what needs to be done. By Monday, they started fixing the damage and late afternoon, the same day, the job was done. Sam Abraham didn't promise but he produced the result. Ben L

The team has been on time, quick, understanding & professional. I can say a lot of people are not like that now and days. Sam and Travis were amazing at what they do. Need more good people like them. From somebody from the military nothing makes me happier than someone that is on time and staying true to their word. Continue the good work you do gentlemen.

How Moisture Can Spread Through National City Properties

National City contains older houses, duplexes, apartments, compact residential lots, commercial buildings, and mixed-use properties. These buildings can contain materials and shared assemblies that allow moisture to remain concealed.

A roof leak, appliance failure, bathroom moisture problem, window intrusion, or previous water event can affect more than one finished surface. Moisture can move through shared walls, ceiling cavities, flooring systems, cabinet bases, and connected rooms before the full extent becomes visible.

Limited ventilation can also contribute to recurring dampness in bathrooms, laundry areas, closets, kitchens, and densely occupied properties. We inspect beyond the visible mold to identify affected materials and determine the appropriate containment, removal, cleaning, drying, and repair plan.

Areas Commonly Affected by Mold

  • Bathrooms and shower walls
  • Kitchens and sink cabinets
  • Laundry rooms and appliance areas
  • Attics and roof-adjacent materials
  • HVAC closets and areas around vents
  • Drywall and interior wall cavities
  • Flooring and subflooring
  • Garages and storage spaces

Mold Remediation FAQS for National City Properties

How do I know whether my property needs mold remediation?

Visible growth, recurring musty odors, water stains, soft drywall, warped materials, or mold returning after surface cleaning can indicate a larger moisture problem. We inspect the visible concern and connected materials to determine what requires attention.

Moisture can travel through shared walls, ceilings, utility openings, and flooring assemblies. Mold does not automatically affect every connected unit, but nearby areas should be inspected when water has crossed unit boundaries.

Not in every situation. When visible mold and a clear moisture problem are present, inspection findings may provide enough information to prepare a remediation plan. Testing can be useful when the source is unclear or an independent assessment is requested.

That depends on the location and size of the affected area, the work being performed, and the needs of building occupants. Containment can often isolate the work zone, but we review access and occupancy considerations before work begins.

Yes. After remediation and structural drying are complete, we can coordinate approved repairs for drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinets, ceilings, baseboards, paint, and other finishes.
